Assess the parent's anatomy and any potential challenges they may face with breastfeeding or chest feeding.

Discuss the benefits of human milk for both the lactating parent and baby.

Explain the basics of breastfeeding or chest feeding, including proper latch and positioning techniques

Provide information on milk production, including how to establish and maintain a good milk supply.

Address any concerns you may have about feeding, such as pain, soreness, or milk supply issues.

Discuss strategies for overcoming breastfeeding or chest feeding challenges such as engorgement, blocked ducts or low supply.

Provide guidance in choosing the best pump for you as well as measuring your nipples to ensure a proper flange fit which will make pumping comfortable and effective.

Advise you on choosing bottles and paced bottle feeding to protect breastfeeding and chest feeding.

Offer guidance and support for partners and other family members.
